Earlier today (March 14), longtime Cam’ron fans received la pièce de résistance in the form of the “Dipsh*ts” visual. Harlem was certainly in the building, and on Come Home With Me‘s 12th anniversary no less.
While the clip certainly indicated where Killa Cam (and hopefully The Diplomats as a whole) plan to take their cult-movement this year, it was also a means to reminisce about good old days –– when bandanna print clothing and larger than life sports jerseys reigned supreme. It was once commonplace to hear Cam’ron talking crazy as he waxed poetics and showed the world what it meant to floss on Lenox Ave.
In that spirit, Hip-Hop Wired revisited some of the Dipset frontman’s greatest moments in music visual history. Peep the list after the jump and give us your thoughts in the comments.

10. N.O.R.E. ft. Nature, Big Pun, Cam’ron & The LOX – “Banned From TV”
Confessions of Fire era Cam is sorely under appreciated, and this posse cut is proof.

9. The Diplomats ft. Master P – “Bout It Bout It Part III”
While the Dips portray an affluent lifestyle, it’s their hood rich demeanor that connects with fans. See proof above through the grit and grime.
8. Cam’ron – “357”
Cam and his co-d at the time, Ma$e, were fresh off the block, as the NYPD were in hot pursuit. And this leads us to our next point.
7. Cam’ron ft. Mase – “Horse & Carriage”
The gaudier sequel of “357” is a representation of the “shiny suit” rap that was prevalent at the time, but it was a clear that Cam was a star.
6. Cam’ron – “Suck It Or Not”
Cam was one of a few rapper who weren’t scared beef with Jay Z sans subliminal disses. He also did it in the best way he knew how — with comedy.
5. Cam’Ron – “Get ‘Em Girls”
Hoods across these United States turned on its ear when Killa dropped this one. If you don’t believe us, play this record and watch how many folks recite his bars.
4. Cam’ron – “Get Em Daddy (Remix)”
Killa responded to getting shot in Washington D.C. during a robbery attempt with this street smash. The fur and jewels were just for show.
3. Cam’ron ft. Keema – “What Means the World to You”
Cam did more that talk crazy on this S.D.E. (Sports, Drugs & Entertainment) standout. He matched that flashy jargon with ultimatums and ample stunting in the dope visual as well.
2. Cam’ron ft. Juelz Santana – “Hey Ma”
This was The Diplomats in all of their splendor. Don’t try to argue this.
1. Cam’ron – “I Really Mean It”
A longstanding state of flourish followed that pink Timberland boot hitting the asphalt. And the reaffirmation of victory came after Freaky Zeeky jumped for joy a la Michael Jordan after he hit that shot on Craig Ehlo.
