Nicki Minaj had a coming-out party of sorts at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards. The multi-platinum rapper/pop star is a week removed from returning to hardcore Hip-Hop with the feverish record “Chi-raq.” But she was literally in the building at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles to help her co-stars Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann promote her first feature film, The Other Woman.
Minaj ditched her trademark colorful glam hairstyles for the movie role and hasn’t looked back since. She’s been teasing her Instagram followers with the new look–au natural and drove them even more bananas with her recent trip to Mexico.
The superstar artist went very incognito on the red carpet in a body-hugging Alexander McQueen ensemble with subtle makeup and her natural black hair color. Nonetheless, her curves were still emboldened and gives yet another nice edition to a growing portfolio sculpted for her thirsty social media following.
Although Nicki didn’t perform at the awards, fans will get to see her headline on both coasts this summer at Hot 97’s Summer Jam and Power 106’s Powerhouse.
