Scandal Recap: Dead And Gone [PHOTOS]

Welp, last night (March 20) we found out who got clapped on Scandal. No huge surprise, but sad none the less. [SPOILERS AHEAD]

White House press secretary James Novak is dead. Jake Ballard killed him, because killing people is what the B316 army does best.

U.S. Attorney David Rosen — watched the whole thing go down. It scared him straight, and he now realizes that he doesn’t want to piss off B 316. This means he’s going to have to lie about a few things, like the fact that Jake killed James (some random criminal dude took the fall so he can get a liver transplant in prison).

Meanwhile, James is the kinda-secret-but-not-so-secret husband of Cyrus Bean. They have a weird relationship, Cyrus usually sets James up to fail just to teach him to mind his business. It never works. They fight. They cry. They drink. And now, James is no longer around to upset. The loss has Cyrus in shock so he keeps working until he breaks down in front of the press. It’s not the best timing, but who are we to judge?

Jump Around

Mellie and Fitz’s running mate went at it last night. They were on a trip to Texas to drum up support from the NRA, and gun-totting voters of America. All the shooting made them take their clothes off. The president and first lady are officially cheating on each other.

Desperado

Mama Pope is really the opposite of what we thought she would be. She’s a cold blooded killer, who doesn’t appear to have a soul. She and Harrison’s bed buddy have joined forces and Mama P already murdered somebody during a meeting.

She seems like a liability.

Crazy 8

Sally Langston is playing it cool but she’s still crazy in the head. In wake of James’s death she decided to sneak off to Texas and scoop up the gun people before Fitz could get around to it.

Captain Save A Heaux

Liv’s dad showed up to their meeting bench to drop more knowledge on her life, and leave her in tears –again. This time he let her know that: “Everyone is worth saving. Even the monsters.”

Good thing she’s surrounded by so many monsters. That’ll keep her busy.

Everybody Knows

By the end of the episode, pretty much everybody knows Jake killed James. Secrets on top of secrets.

Huck kissed Quinn after she spit in his face. WTF?
