With his buddy cop movie Ride Along about to hit theaters tomorrow, Ice Cube made it a point to stop by The Breakfast Club. The interview revealed several interesting factoids about the west coast legend’s career.

In the twenty minute plus sit down, the Don Mega talks about the film industry and how his previous successful projects do not automatically grant him access multi million dollar budgets in the future. “Each movie is its own thing, it ain’t like because I did this movie, that movie and that one the next one is going to be easier” he explained.

He also touches on his illustrious recording career starting with N.W.A., going solo, his regret of not working more with Dr. Dre, the West Coast of today and more.

Not only did Ice Cube get offered to play O-Dog from Menace 2 Society, but he also asked by John Singleton to play Lucky in Poetic Justice but Cube disagreed with his character kicking his friend off the bus for a female.

There is an actual petition to get the Goodyear Blimp to read “Ice Cube’s a pimp” for the 20th anniversary of his most famous song “It Was A Good Day”.

Even though the Don Mega has had documented problems with Cypress Hill and Common, he is beef free in fap and hopes to keep it that way.

Cube has yet to talk to Dr. Dre directly about his scathing N.W.A. diss record “No Vaseline.”

According to O’Shea, the NWA movie Straight Outta Compton will see the light of day. Cube and Dr. Dre will both serve as executive producers.

While Chris Tucker is “engaged” in doing another Friday movie, Cube admits that the film is in developmental hell as New Line Cinemas is dragging their feet in getting the movie started.

Out of all the movies he has done his biggest regret is doing Ghost Of Mars.

Cube did have a relationship with 2Pac stemming from his days with Digital Underground. He referred to Shakur as very humble and explained that certain situations that he went through hardened him up.

While he has had opportunities to dabble in sports, he feels he is way too passionate to actually invest his monies in any teams.
