The new gods of Hip-Hop have certainly reaped the benefits of the work of these talented groups have done. But, with music being consumed at an all-time high (thank you Yeezus), we stop the clock in hopes that these past-and-present greats can return to center stage for all of us to see!

Millions upon millions of dollars are given to talented (and not so talented) acts to hop on the road and tour the globe. Usually, we’re blessed to see a couple of true favorites get their bars off in public for free (see: Brooklyn’s annual Hip-Hop Festival). While there are quite a few who are apt to say that they’ll never hit the road together, we’re more positive in believing that the roads will be flooding with the sounds of good acts for years to come.

Besides, never is such a strong word, you can never doubt seeing A Tribe Called Quest or Bone Thugs -N- Harmony wanting to pack out venues.

So, since you never know what the future holds, we’ve compiled a list of 15 Hip-Hop Reunions We’d Love To See.

We jump things off with that ill crew from New York, led by the incomparable Kool Moe Dee:

The Treacherous Three

Hip-hop heads may have slept on their initial reunion back in 1993-94, but we would love for the Bronx, New York collective to return to show these young gunners how to rhyme on time.

N.W.A.

Eazy-E is no longer with us, but his son and daughter could fill the roster that finds Dr. Dre, MC Ren, Ice Cube, and Arabian Prince linking up to show Amerikkka why they can’t funk with these G’s.

We are serious, Jay! Corporate Hov might not have time for the streets (or just Beanie Sigel</strong), but if he extends a kite to his former Def Jam comrades then it’s murder for the Billboard charts.

Geto Boys

Back when Willie D left the group, the Geto Boys replaced him with Big Mike. Although, the group returned for 1996’s The Resurrection and Da Good, Da Bad & Da Ugly, our hope is that we get a 21st Century album from these H-Town legends.

Little Brother

One of the most appreciated groups of the new rap era disbanded, leaving an irreplaceable hole in the game. With 9th Wonder teaching at Harvard, and Big Pooh and Phonte on opposite sides of the fence, true hip-hop fans just want one good album from them to take into the next century.

State Property

The Roc has formed into a nation leaving behind this gaggle of Philly rappers. The end should have been so bitter, as true fans of the collective would love to see them resurrect themselves and give the people what they really want.

Jurassic 5

Citing “musical differences,” this Los Angeles alternative hip-hop group is sorely missed by fans looking for diversity within the culture. As the sound and the system continue to morph, it would be great to hear the melodically crisp lyricism return to flood the airwaves.

Kid-N-Play

The duo is currently on tour giving “old school” hip-hop fans flashbacks with Salt ‘n Pepa. With Play being a professor at North Carolina Central University, and Kid continuing his acting, our goal is to convince the tandem to get “2 Hype” for the current generation of rap fan.

Children of the Corn

The death of Big L is vast, but with the other members alive and well it would be ill for the Harlem collective to get together and put out that work.

Dipset

The world felt the energy that the Diplomats were putting out and that fire is sorely missed. Sure, A$AP Worldwide picked up the torch, but if what Killa Cam said is true then it’ll only be a matter of time that everyone is back screaming, “Dipset! Dipset! Dipset!”

Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch

Before the Beantown bad boy was making that HBO money, he was entrenched in the culture spitting rhymes that had him placed on the Billboard charts. Just for old times sake, it would be great to get the Funky Bunch together and take fans on a trip to the wild side.

OutKast

The most recent collaboration fans got from the Stankonia duo was a reworking of Frank Ocean‘s “Pink Matter” song. With 3000’s All Is By My Side film in the can, it’s been long overdue for these two ATLiens to hop in the spaceship and craft some excellent tunes for the 21st Century.

G-Unit

50 Cent might not be about taking care of his “help,” but that doesn’t mean that they can’t try to get the gang together one last time. Buck and Game have both hinted at squashing old beefs in order to tip the scales of the rap industry. And that’s something no one would be mad at at all.

The St. Lunatics

Many are wondering if Nelly is one the decline of his career. What better way to rejuvenate it, as well as the city of St. Louis, but by bringing back Ali, Murphy Lee, Kyjuan, City Spud and yes, Slo’Down, too.

The Clipse

Pusha T is pure fuego right now. His brother is making a hit as an author. But together, there is something special that is sorely missed, and we would love to see them reunite under the G.O.O.D. Music banner.
