The last thing the Michael Vick needs in his life is another controversy. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback’s younger brother, Marcus, took to Twitter and hurled an anti-gay insult towards the Arizona Cardinals. Former Cardinals safety Kerry Rhodes was recently outed by an alleged ex-boyfriend, which no doubt prompted Vick’s slanderous tweet.
Vick, who also has past troubles with the law, tweeted, “Those Arizona Cardinals got a brunch of Fruit Tarts on there team…. Watch out for the pile on pumps this year!!!”
Vick made the tweet over the weekend, and many of his followers shared the posting. Considering that Vick has a warrant out for his arrest according to the Roanoke Times, his appearance on social media will undoubtedly ramp up efforts to bring him to court.
This isn’t the first time the former Virginia Tech quarterback has unwisely used Twitter. Some will recall last November that Vick called out the Eagles offensive line after his brother’s squad lost on Monday Night Football to the New Orleans Saints. Michael Vick said he checked his brother over what was said, and it appears he’ll be doing so again after this latest infraction.
Marcus Vick is wanted in Virginia courts for failing to appear and also neglecting to address an outstanding lawsuit settlement claim of $40,000 from 2008.
