The 2013 Jordan Brand Classic is going down April 13 as the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. As a bonus, Drake will be performing immediately following the coveted high school all-star game.
The YMCMB rapper has a number of basketball ties. Besides being spotted courtside throughout this year’s NBA All-Star weekend, the “Started From The Bottom” rapper recently narrated a documentary on Kentucky called Bluegrass Kingdom: The Gospel of Kentucky Basketball that aired on TruTV.
The Jordan Brand Classic will be a tripleheader, featuring an International Game at 3:30 p.m. ET, a New York Regional game at 5:30 p.m. ET and main event, the All-American game at 8 p.m ET. The National Game contest will be televised at 8 p.m ET on ESPN2. The Regional game interestingly will feature a City vs. Suburban game that will also feature top flight players heading to D1 schools that hail from the NY area.
Jordan Brand also revealed the uniforms the elite group of high school players will be rocking on the court. Of course, the shoes will be the Air Jordan XX8 in red/gold or black/gold colorways.
