As rap fellow rap snobs, we always turn our nose up at NBA players who attempt to rap. From Kobe Bryant, Metta World Peace, and Kevin Durant; they’ve all tried their hand at rap. Most have failed.
However, it always looks like rappers get off a little easier when they try to show off their game on the court. Outside of a few legitimate athletic rappers, most of the rhyme spitters that try to get on the court to be like Mike end up usually looking God awful.
Because most Hip-Hop fans are avid basketball nerds, it doesn’t take Skip Bayless or Stephen A. Smith to tell these rappers they should stick to their day job. Sure there is nothing wrong with getting in a few jump shots to stay in shape, but when you put your game on display for the world to see you are fair game.
From weak ankles, ugly jumpshots and just plain old soft game, get a look at some of your favorite rappers stinking it up on the court.

DJ Khaled
A good jumpshot is just like making love to a woman. Just because it goes in, doesn’t mean you are doing it right. This picture GIF shows DJ Khaled draining a jumpshot, but with some of the fugliest form you’ll ever see.
Kanye West
Form is everything in a jumpshot. From what we hear, Kanye is a half-way decent ball player but you wouldn’t be able to tell that from this funky looking floater.
Rick Ross
This entire video is pure hoop struggle. This is a classic case of let-him-win-because-its-his-court ball. Jump, Rozay, jump!
Jay-Z
At the 4:15 point of “Death Of Auto-Tune,” Jigga gets a quick one on one game with LeBron James. Of course, nobody expects to look like a superstar going up against King James, but Hov’s funky left hand jumpshot had all the makings of a brick.
Ice Cube
Not only did Ice Cube airball a free throw with his first attempt and blame it on his hat, he went on to brick a few more for good measure. That triple double you had on “Today Was A Good Day” is starting to look suspect, fam.
The Game
The Game is one of the better basketball-playing rappers, but that didn’t stop him from getting his ankles snapped like a twig.
Drake
All of this.
Ne-Yo
Not exactly sure what Ne-Yo is doing here, but it just look very unfortunate.
Diggy Simmons
This picture of teenage Diggy Simmons trying defend DJ Clue has all the makings of an “And 1.” What we call kids like that lunch meat on the court.
Common
Common had us all fooled when he played an NBA All-Star in the movie Just Wright. It took about ten seconds for young Justin Bieber to take all that mystique in one fell swoop.
