Around these parts, LL Cool J is in the no slander zone. Just check the Queens rapper’s resume; he is a G.O.A.T., nuff said. Uncle L ia returning with a new album called Authentic, his 14th, and here we have its album artwork.
Originally thought to be dropping on February 12, the album will be now be coming out on May 7. HipHop-N-More reports that the album’s name has been changed from the original Authentic Hip-Hop title. L already revealed a previous version of the cover and a track list; the latter of which will most likely change.
So long as that ill-advised “Ratchet”cut is not included, we’re looking forward to see what the “Jinglin’ Baby” rapper still have in the tank. The project’s current single is the Joe-assisted “Take It.”
Last summer, the Hip-Hop legend made news for beating up a would be burglar that he caught in his home. The accomplished actor, he stars on NCIS: Los Angeles on CBS., was recently on Oprah’s Next Chapter for an interview that covered a wide range of topics.
This Sunday, February 10, LL will be hosting the 55th annual Grammy awards.
Check out the cover art of Authentic below and peep L gracing the cover of Essence magazine on the next page.
