We already know that the Lakers are having a terrible season, but last night’s 95-83 loss to the Chicago Bulls unleashed a tidal wave of Twitter criticism.
Once it appeared that things weren’t going to end in the favor of L.A.’s most celebrated team, the online hatred could no longer be contained.
Going with the idea that it’s not how you start, but how you finish, the Lakers might want to hold an emergency prayer circle to make sure they keep up the momentum.
Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, and Pau Gasol put up a collective 46 points, but Bulls starting point guard, Kirk Hinrich, scored 22 point all on his own, so you can guess how this story ends. “We’re going to have to look at some things,” Bryant said after the game.
“We’re going to have to change something. Probably going to have to post the ball a lot more, slow the game down a lot more. That’s just my intuition, but that’s my gut right now. I have to take a look at the film again, but we’re definitely going to have to change something.”
You can say that again.
As it stands, the Lakers have lost six straight games on the road, yet die-hard fans are still holding out hope—and we salute them for their loyalty.
But let’s not talk about that, it’s much funnier to look at the slander. Check out a portion of the hatred below.
