Pete Rock Responds To Lil Yachty Tweets

Every time Lil Yachty talks a music purist loses their wings. 

Lil Yachty, the teenaged “brand” who says he’s not a rapper and can’t name five 2Pac or Biggie songs, has managed to draw the ire of Pete Rock.

Yes, the same Pete Rock who called Young Dolph wack, has also labeled Yachty as wack. Rock reposted a meme of Yachty attempting to freestyle and added his own thumbs down emojis for extra emphasis.

Yachty saw the video and got offended. Not by the rapping he was doing, but by Pete’s opinion. So he let out a tweet saying “f*ck a Pete Rock,” repeating Dolph’s sentiments from when Pete called him wack too.

Yachty seemed to have a moment of zen and quickly deleted the tweet. He came back in a calmer tone with a series of tweets saying that he wasn’t mad at Pete and that he didn’t like his kind of music either.

Pete Rock has now responded to Yachty and the people are calling him a hater. He admits that he may have been wrong about how he went about it, but he still feels a certain way about “mumble rap.”

In an Instagram post, Pete says:
