Snoop Dogg is on the East Coast right now on his The High Road Tour. He took a moment to wake up very early Thursday morning to talk with The Breakfast Club.

Whenever Snoop Dogg sits down to do a long interview, you’re guaranteed to get some gems, stories and perspectives that you may not have heard before. That especially rang true in his talks with DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee.

In his 40 minute interview, Snoop talked about his current relationship with Suge Knight, his son’s status at UCLA, the first time he met Nas and his views on Bow Wow’s “retirement” from rap.

1. Snoop Dogg Thinks This Pic Is Funny Too

Snoop Dogg knows that this viral meme makes him look like somebody’s auntie, and he thinks it’s funny too. He says that whenever someone makes fun of him online he joins in on the jokes.

2. Snoop and Suge Knight Are Back Cool

At one point Snoop Dogg and Suge Knight’s relationship got so tense that Snoop started having to travel with security for protection. But, he says that he and Suge squashed their beef years ago and are actually cool. He also says that with Suge currently locked down and facing life, now is the time to show compassion.

3. Snoop Dogg Says That The Game Called Him At 5 a.m. For H.U.N.T. March

Snoop Dogg and The Game united Crips, Bloods and Mexicans to have peace talks with the LAPD in the wake of the Philando Castile, Alton Sterling and Dallas Police Shootings. But he revealed that the idea came from The Game calling him at 5 a.m that morning after he devised the plan the prior night.

4. Snoop Dogg Saved Nas’ Life The First Time He Met Him

Back in the early 90s Snoop Dogg met Nas for the first time right when the QB MC as blowing up. But the meeting almost went bad. Snoop says that Nas pulled up on him and jumped out of a white van, wearing all red in a Crip neighborhood. Snoop says his homies were ready to draw down on Nas but that he calmed them all down and told him who he was. At that point Snoop gave Nas a much needed lesson on Cali street etiquette.

5. Snoop’s Son Cordell Broadus Is In Film School, And He Supports His Decision

Snoop’s sond Cordell was a highly-recruited high school football player and earned a scholarship to play football at UCLA. But he has quit the team twice already. The most recent time came earlier this week and Snoop says that his son is trying his hand at film school. Even though Snoop would love to see his son out on the football field, he’s not going to pressure him to play.

6. DMX Is The Only Rapper To Get Snoop To Drink Hennessy At An Award Show

Snoop has never been known to be a big drinker. But he says that he has made exception fro DMX who once got him to guzzle down a bottle of Hennessy at an awards show “in front of white folks.”

7. Snoop Doesn’t Think Dr. Dre Should Be Involved In A Death Row Biopic

Snoop Dogg hasn’t heard about the rumors of a Death Row Records movie, but he says if one does happen, Dr. Dre should not be involved. He says that Dre did a great job with Straight Outta Compton, but that his perspective in a Death Row Records movie would be too biased. Snoop says that a better story would be told from he and Suge Knight’s perspective since they had ties to gangs and stayed around to build it. He feels that since Dre was always looking to leave the label and eventually did, he can’t tell the best story about what happened.

8. Snoop Can’t Work With Dr. Dre Again Because He Is A “Perfectionist.”

Snoop Dogg insists that he and Dr. Dre are brothers, but they can’t work together. Snoop says that it has become too difficult to work with Dre because he is a perfectionist that wants every word to be said a certain way.

9. Snoop Dogg Does Not Smoke Kurupt’s Moon Rocks Because It Is Too Strong

You know you’ve got some serious sh*t burning if even Snoop Dogg doesn’t smoke it. Snoop says he stays away from fellow Dogg Pound member Kurupt’s “Moon Rock” weed strain. He says that it is too strong for him and the only times that will smoke it is if he takes a little bit of it and sprinkles it in some regular week. He even went as far as to say it’s almost as strong as crack. Sheesh!

10. Snoop Dogg Confirms That He Is Executive Producing Bow Wow’s Final Rap Album

Everybody had jokes when Bow Wow announced that he was retiring from rapping. But Snoop Dogg is taking it serious and says that he is indeed executive producing Bow Wow’s final album. He says that he feels he still has a lot to say, but needs to hone it in and perfect, which is what he plans on helping him do.
