As Snoop Dogg just learned, pitching a baseball is a skill that takes aim and strength. Snoop and these other rappers exhibited neither when invited to throw ceremonial first pitches at baseball games.

Rappers often get invited to throw the first pitch at ball games because after all, they are celebrities too. But, they soon find out that throwing a small ball over 60 feet is no small feat.

Snoop Dogg was the latest Hip-Hop star to find out the hard way. While he has exhibited some skill on the football field and basketball court, the Dogg showed that he does not have the paws necessary for baseball. The Long Beach, Calif. rapper threw out the first pitch at a San Diego Padres game on June 8 and it did not go well.

Snoop started out with decent form, but once he let it go, heads were ducking. On a scale of Doggystyle to Tha Doggfather, this was definitely Tha Doggfather.

Snoop isn’t alone in throwing bad pitches though.

50 Cent still can’t live down his attempt at throwing a pitch at a New York Mets game back in 2014.

Chance The Rapper at least made it to home plate when he threw the first pitch at a Chicago White Sox game this past April. The ball had a lot of air under it though. Maybe he was trying to throw a sinker.

He had time to practice though, he threw out a pitch back in 2014 too.

Warren G made up for absolutely butchering “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” at a Chicago Cubs game earlier this year by actually throwing a decent first pitch. Or at least it looked decent on video. Home plate was cropped out so we really can’t tell.

In 2013,  Nelly says that he thought it was a “pitch out,” explaining how he managed to miss home plate completely. This is a shame because before his rap career took off, Nelly was actually a high school baseball star and won the MVP award for the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association. This goes to show you that pitching is different.

Macklemore threw out a so-so pitch at a Seattle Mariners game this season. So-so weak that is. But he gets cool points for rocking the throwback Ken Griffey, Jr. jersey though.
