Anthony Mackie is trying to save face after his endorsement of Donald Trump for president overshadowed the information for his new movie, Our Brand Is Crisis.
During an interview with BET, the Captain America star admitting that he would want to run Trump’s presidential campaign and was “drinking the Kool-Aid.” Now, he’s claiming it was all for the comedy hour.
Of course, the backlash and the risk of his African-American fans boycotting Our Brand Is Crisis probably had something to do with it.
Instead of welcoming him back into the fold, the denizens of Black Twitter congregated and determined he needed a little bit more people.
