Now that we’re at episode four of the second season of FOX’s Empire, the shenanigans are really beginning to ramp up. Last night’s episode, titled “Poor Yorick,” featured all the twists, tomfoolery and Hakeem struggle we’ve come to expect.
Here are some of the more important points and moments from the latest Empire, spoilers ahead.
Foes To Lovers?
Roxanne Ford is the prosecutor out to get Lucious and considering she keeps her cleavage out and since Lucious chose to say hello butt naked, it’s a given that they’re going to sleep with each other before the season is up.
G’s To OG’s
Empire Records, as well as Dynasty Records, got raided by the FBI. Lucious actually took this as a positive since it meant more street credibility for the label. We’re betting Irv Gotti would disagree on those alleged benefits.
Struggle Rap Video 101
Hakeem and Jamal shot a video together to show unity as Empire Records and the Lyon family digs in against the feds. The clip looked like a struggle version of Tupac’s “California Love” video. No shots.
Sandra Bland
Cookie got arrested by the feds thanks to her assistant Porscha using her name when she got caught hopping a turnstile. After the door was closed on her in the squad car, she made it clear that there is no way she would commit suicide in custody. That was a clearly nod to the Sandra Bland case. Some people took it as off putting, though. #BlackLivesMatter

Portrait of the Artist
Jamal is set to grace the cover of Rolling Stone (his new album will be called The Artist) and he is being photographed by an eccentric artist named Chase One. Hakeem hated the painting, and even stabbed it in the neck. No worries, Chase One believed it’s what made it into art. Eat your heart out Banksy.
Also, Jamal’s boyfriend has spotted the jig.
A Body In The Trunk
Andre is still making his life goal to get back into Empire Records. His latest ploy was to dig up Vernon’s body (remember, his wife murdered him with a crack over the skull). Turns out Lucious and his lawyer Bubbles from The Wire put a tracker on Andre’s car, and rolled up on his son and Rhonda as they tried to find Vernon’s body. Apparently, killing a snitch was all that was necessary to get back in with Empire Record. Go figure.
Also, these two were the most impeccable dressed grave diggers we have ever seen.
Bye Boo Boo Kitty
Andre isn’t the only one tenaciously trying to get back in a Lyon’s good graces. Boo Boo Kitty continues to try and fails to win over Cookie, who made it clear that she does not trust Lucious’ ex-fiancee.
