The Los Angeles Lakers went 21-61 last NBA season and Kobe Bryant’s career is fading in the sunset. That still didn’t prevent longtime guest analyst Lil Wayne from giving a bold prediction on ESPN’s First Take.
It was a rare look for the popular rapper to appear without his trusty sunglasses and according to many viewers, his glossy eyes and delayed response was a dead giveaway that he had gotten mighty blunted before appearing on-air. If that wasn’t to convince them, maybe his opinion that the terrible Lakers squad would revert back to championship contention was.
“I definitely seeing them as trying their hardest,” Weezy replied to Molly Qerim when flatly asked whether or not the Lake Show was a playoff team. When Stephen A. Smith posed the question when the people were going to stop lying to themselves and “stop with the nonsense,” Wayne giggled along but still held his ground on the lofty claim.
Whether or not he was actually “high” is debatable but the responses were hilarious. Take a look at the latest Lil Wayne First Take episode below and see how the people reacted.
