The music gods having been rather gracious over the last seven days. Such is reflected in The Wrap Up: Hip-Hop Wired’s Top 10 Songs Of The Week.

10. Joywave ft. Mick Jenkins & Little Simz – “Bad Dreams”

Photo: Daniel Armbruster & Sean Donnelly

It’s always ill to see newcomers collaborate. When at least one of these artists blow up, this is one of the records we’ll reflect on.

9. Waka Flocka Flame ft. Future – “All These B*thces”

Producer: TM88

Rapping Waka Flocka is quickly becoming more entertaining on wax.

8. Tink – “Ratchet Commandments”

Producer: Timbaland

Tink continues to impress, as she schools fellow women on her new cut.

7. Kid Cudi – “love.”

Producer: Kid Cudi & Dot Da Genius

Cudder back? It sure sounds like it.

6. Wale ft. Usher – “Matrimony”

Producer: Jake One & DJ Khalil

Folarin returned with some thematically tight verses on his latest The Album About Nothing single.

5. Ab Soul – “47 Bars”

Producer: The Alchemist

Soulo is a wizard with the words, and he has a few slick lines about Young Thug above.

4. Nosaj Thing ft. Chance The Rapper – “Cold Stares”

Producer: Nosaj Thing

This track leaked last year. Here it is in its final form.

3. Skepta – “Shutdown”

Producer: Ragz Originale & Skepta

Timing is a major factor in having a successful run in the music industry. Veteran Grime artist Skepta still looks to get traction stateside, so he delivered this heater then amid the hoopla stirred by the recent Kanye West shoutout.

2. Jay Electronica – “Road To Perdition”

Producer: DJ Khalil

At this point, I honestly don’t know how to feel about new Jay Elect music. Yes it’s great, but we know he has so much more heat in the tuck, and won’t release it.

1. Action Bronson ft. Chance The Rapper – “Baby Blue”

Producer: Mark Ronson

It’s clear that Bronsolino is moving to the beat of his own drum on his upcoming debut, Mr. Wonderful. We like.
