If you claim you are on The Internets but don’t know about the popular web series Money & Violence, then you are losing at life. The cast stopped by The Breakfast Club to discuss the show’s popularity and more.
Based in Brooklyn, Money & Violence brings the harsh realities of what the streets of New York used to be in the 1990’s.
Now that #RespectYourJaw has crossed over into classic meme status, the crew’s future seems very bright.
Angela Yee and Charlamagne The God asked all the questions everyone has been interested in knowing.

1. True Story
The show is based on people and events that the cast members have met and witnessed while living in Brooklyn.
2. Production
The cast uses only one camera and a boom microphone. They have never edited any video previous to Money & Violence.
3. Acting?
None of the characters are played by professionals. Everyone is fresh from the block which they feel adds to the authenticity.
4. Popular Thug
The show has done over two million views in the last two months alone.
5. #RespectYourJaw
The infamous catchphrase is actually something that was routinely said by a well known bully from Brooklyn.
6. The Message
The cast asserts that while the show content is gritty, there are many things to learn from watching it including not putting your trust in slimy individuals and being choosy with the people you may be having kids with.
7. Tai
As one of the biggest villains, expect Tai to have a long lifeline on this show.
8. Police
It has gotten to the point that they are so popular that the local police do not bother them while they are shooting on the streets of Brooklyn.
9. Trust
When asked about if there are contracts in place, the crew made it clear that they all trust each other and that paperwork is not needed. We hope this is true.
10. The Future
They have been offered several deals but they are waiting to see what will be the best platform for the show while maintaining the creative control so the message isn’t lost.
