Machismo runs rampant in the Hip-Hop community and the latest episode of FOX’s Empire delves deep into that.

The latest chapter finds our anti-hero Lucious finally embracing the war he’s ignored for his shunning of Jamal, whose unthreatening homosexuality overshadows everything else in his father’s eyes. As the only son who truly respects his father unflinchingly, his love his frazzled a bit after he’s insulted where it means the most. Not his sexual orientation but his passion for music, which the elephant in the room is screaming is superior than his father’s.
