Long Game
The NYPD was on to GS9’s alleged antics before Bobby Shmurda’s rap career popped off in the summer of 2014. The authorities began gathering evidence in January 2013.
Shoot Em Up
According to NYPD GS9 was very reckless with the shooting, putting the lives of innocent bystanders in danger in NYC and in Miami.
One shooting occurred outside of the Barclay’s Center in downtown Brooklyn on July 27, 2014. Police say that Chad Marshall aka rapper Rowdy Rebel was in a car with Santino Broderick, who spotted members of the Folk Nation in a car and proceeded to shoot at them. This is the same night that Rowdy Rebel joined Bobby Shmurda at Barclays to perform “Hot Ni**a” as a special guest of Fabolous. Respect The Shooter
Cops allege that Bobby Shmurda himself fired a gun at a crowd of people gathered in front of a barber shop at 1088 Clarkson Avenue in Brooklyn on June 2, 2014. Cops apparently know this because Devon Rodney aka Slice, another defendant spoke about it on the phone, saying he fired the gun after an argument with his brother, Javese Pollard aka Fame.
The Brooklyn DA, Kenneth P. Thompson, is out to bring GS9 down.
“These defendants did not hesitate to turn the streets of Brooklyn into a shooting gallery, leaving death and destruction in their wake. They wreaked havoc to protect their drug dealing, even shooting into crowds causing hundreds of innocent people to scramble to safety. Now they will be held accountable for their senseless acts of violence and illicit drug activity. I am committed to working with the New York City Police Department and the Special Narcotics Prosecutor to protect the law-abiding residents of Brooklyn.”
