With his EP We Own The Night PT 2: Memoirs Of A Hustler just released, Diplomats rapper Jim Jones is a man about town. Capo stopped by The Breakfast Club show to discuss past beefs and his new hustles.
Even though he is no longer about slapping Kuffs off, Jones still has a bit of a temper on him. He attributes his new approach to getting wiser.
Of course DJ Envy, Angela Yee an Charlamagne Tha God didn’t stop there. They got the Harlem native to discuss his issues with Dame Dash, leaving executive positions, the Dipset album and more.
So we present the top 14 things we learned from The Breakfast Club Jim Jones interview.
Would you have stayed with Koch Records if they couldn’t pay you for all the money “We Fly High” made? Sound off in the comments section.

1. KOCH
When Balling was popping Koch Records couldn’t pay Jim what he was owed so in turn they offered him an executive position.
2. Banned
At one point Jim was banned from several places included offices and nightclubs
3. Reality Television
When he originally signed up to do the first Love & Hip Hop a lot of his Rap peers were skeptical. But fast forward to 2014, reality TV is synonymous with Hip-Hop.
4. Culture Vultures?
At one point while working for Warner Brothers Jim reported directly to Lyor Cohen and Kevin Liles. When asked about Dame’s dislike for both of them, he finds it strange since Dash made so much money with both executives.
5. Dame Dash
When asked what sparked the problems between him and Dame, Jones said they handle business very differently. Therefore they have to part ways, but he insists that is still his dude.
6. Dipset
While he doesn’t talk to Cam’ron and Juelz everyday, they still have a brotherly love that can’t be broken.
7. Dr. Dre
When asked about the infamous picture with Dre and the Diplomats, Jim said it was a big tease. They did four incredible records with Dre but never saw him again.
8. The Wedding
While he doesn’t care if the wedding will be shown on television, best believe he will get a check if it does land on VH1.
9. JuJu
Jim was there when Cam’ron originally met JuJu. JuJu and Chrissy get along well, too.
10. French
Jim still has no love for French Montana.
11. Max B
Jim doesn’t have anything negative to say about Max considering his current prison term. He hopes his appeal goes through and finds himself back on the streets somehow.
12. Mona Scott
Jim Jones does not see eye to eye with Mona Scott and isn’t going to do any shows with her in the near future.
13. Stack Bundles
Jim is sitting on a bunch of Stack Bundles music but doesn’t want to release any of it because his death still affects him to this day. Also his family came calling Jones and it made for an uncomfortable situation.
14. Ron Browz
Jim Jones feels Ron Browz can be idiot when dealing with business. He tried to sign Ron Browz to a deal but Browz passed and ended up signing what Jones calls a “bozo deal”.
