Childish Gambino is a complex guy. The actor turned rapper made this apparent on a very memorable appearance on The Breakfast Club.

With the release of his second album Because The Internet, the man born Donald Glover has enjoyed a nice run with a broadened fan base that appreciate his unique take on life.

Naturally this made for some interesting conversation. DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God got the MC to talk about being Black, Twitter activism, dating outside of his race, Jhene Aiko and going celibate

1. Jhene

Even though the two artists are friendly, they have never taken their friendship to romance.

2. Fashion

Gambino’s sense of style is eccentric so he can change the perception of how African Americans dress. He stated that when Rick Rubin dresses like a pauper no one blinks, but when he does it he gets questioned.

3. Celibacy

Childish has been celibate for several months as he hasn’t found someone worthy of his love.

4. Race

Recently Childish Gambino went on Instagram saying he wants to be White. He meant it as acknowledgment that when you are White, in his mind, it is a blank slate. There are no preconceived thoughts when you see a White person. Case in point; when he wears a bow tie people ask him if he is Muslim.

5. Mom, Dad & The Cops

Unfortunately Glover got into an incident with an overzealous police offer while trying to escort his parents into the show. His parents are both disabled and the cop got real aggressive while his hand was on his pistol.

6. Yoga

Gambino practices Yoga and also tries to sit in the infamous pose that Russell Simmons made so popular whenever possible.

7. White Women

He doesn’t envision him ever marrying a White women as he needs someone to see the world the way he sees it that includes a clear advantage for lighter shade.

8. Drake, Kendrick, Schoolboy Q

He stood by his rant about being a better rapper than Drake, Kendrick and Schoolboy Q. Naturally all rappers should feel they are the best but he feels his most recent work separates him from everyone else.

9. Gay?

Gambino cleared up any the rumors and stated that he is not gay. He admitted he now understands why women find certain men attractive, but has never been included to proposition them.

10. White Rappers

Childish Gambino feels White rappers are winning as the culture, in his mind, no longer is about empowering people of color but more so being another form of pop music.
