Turn your volume up, because yours truly is back with the latest dosage of The Wrap Up: Hip-Hop Wired’s Top 10 Songs Of The Week.

Per usual, the Hip-Hop Wired crew has compiled the best records to release in a past seven days. To be quite frank, this edition is very ill, due in part to music from some newcomers who’ve piqued our interests. But don’t worry rap fans, the veterans show and prove all the same.

Let the rhymes and beats featured in this week’s assortment of The Wrap Up infiltrate your ears after the jump. Leave your thoughts in the comments.

10. Meek Mill – “Gettin’ Money”

Producer: N/A

The cut above was one of four by Meek to release earlier this week. It’s also the best of the batch.

9. Raekwon – “Close To You”

Producer: N/A

For a 12th week in a row, The Chef kicked a potent verse over an old school classic. Let’s see where he takes it next.

8. Audio Push ft. Rockie Fresh – “No Secret”

Producer: N/A

HS87 continue to put numbers on the boards. Now, it’s just a matter of when the game will make an earnest effort to listen.

7. Your Old Droog ft. Prodigy – “Hoodie Season”

Producer: Marco Polo

The term “Hoodie Season” sounds like it comes accompanied by a proper jux, and so does the cut above.

6. Ricky Dubs ft. Kami De Chukwu – “I Say”

Producer: Ricky Dubs

The Chicago producer’s 8-track project, The Señor Dubs EP, literally caught my ear as I compiled this list. After one listen, the cut above resonated most.

5. Chase N. Cashe – Araab Crazy

Producer: araabMUZIK

The New Orleans rapper-producer spits that cash money talk on his newest release. No pun intended.

4. Wara From The NBHD – “Case Closed”

Producer: 8-Track

The tale Wara depicted on his Kidnapped project is fictional, but rooted in reality. The one heard above comes from a personal place.

3. Jeezy ft. Kendrick Lamar – “Holy Ghost (Remix)”

Producer: Don Cannon, Lyle LeDuff, Frank Dukes

The Snowman called on TDE Compton rep to injected more life into his Seen It All track. Mission accomplished.

2. Octave Minds ft. Chance The Rapper & The Social Experiment – “Tap Dance”

Producer: Octave Minds

Chance is broadening his horizons sonically and inviting rap fans into a world where lush, live instrumentation lives in the process. We’re excited to hear what the Chicago’s next full-length project sounds like.

1. Flying Lotus ft. Kendrick Lamar – “Never Catch Me”

Producer: Flying Lotus

From Lotus’ upcoming album, You’re Dead!, the West Coast producer unveiled a cut featuring K. Dot. This collab sounds just as good as it looks on paper.
