For a sixth week in a row, The Chef blessed an old school classic with a proper verse.
8. T.I. ft. Victoria Monet – “Stay”

The Kang expresses some complicated thoughts about love on this record. With the assistance of Monet, this is definitely one of the better releases from his upcoming album, Paperwork.

Pounding 808s and lush melodies make a beautiful message on this soulful cut from Slade’s Hotter Than July 19th project.

Aside from having one of the better names in Hip-Hop, NehruvianDOOM may also be sitting on one of better projects of the year. Stay tuned for news on its release.
5. Punch ft. Jay Rock & BJ The Chicago Kid – “A Project Mind”
Producer: N/A
TDE’s president has been known to lay a verse every now and again, but who knew his pen game was this strong. Add a verse from Jay Rock into the mix, and it’s clear why the West Coast label continues to win.
4. The Weeknd – “King Of The Fall”
Producer: Daheala & The Weeknd
Abel hears your whispers and he sees other artists stealing his style. This is his audible rebuttal.
3. Boaz ft. Scarface – “Hard To Forget”

We recommend that listeners get familiar with this Pittsburgh spitter sooner than later, because he’s delivering some of the most thought provoking music of the year.
2. Cormega ft. AZ, Redman & Styles P – “MARS (Dream Team)”

The Queensbridge legend connected with three accomplished lyricists on one of the better collaborations of the year. As you can see, at no age does steal stop sharpening steel.
1. Common – “City To City”

This Target-exclusive bonus track is proof that the Chicago MC was in a special zone while creating his new LP, Nobody’s Smiling.
