Apple Reveals New iPad Air [PHOTOS]

Apple fanboys are rejoicing, and checking their bank accounts for how much money they can spend. Today (Oct. 22), Apple revealed new products including a new Mavericks operating system, speedier Macbook Pros and new iPads, including the one pound iPad Air.
The new gadgets were unveiled at a product event in San Francisco by Apple CEO Tim Cook.
Reports the Chicago Tribune:
Apple Inc. on Tuesday unveiled a Retina iPad Mini and the iPad Air, a thinner, faster full-size iPad that Apple executives said was innovative enough to “deserve a new name.”
The new device weighs 1 pound and runs on Apple’s new A7 chip, said Phil Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing at Apple.
“This is a screaming fast iPad,” Schiller said, adding that graphics will be 72-times faster than the orginal iPad. “It’s our biggest leap foward in an iPad.”
It will come in silver, white, space gray and black and will start at $499. With cellular capabilities, it will run $629. They will ship Nov. 1. The iPad Mini will be available in the same colors and start at $399, with cellular versions available for $529.
Apple also announced it will add a Retina display faster chips to its iPad Mini.
Apple also announced faster MacBook Pros and gave a closer look at the anticipated cylindrical desktop MacPro that will be available later this year.
