North Korea’s supreme ruler Kim Jong Un is more than just Dennis Rodman’s homie, he wants to launch a nuclear attack on the U.S., and anyone else in his line of fire. Jong Un has been picking up where his father left off as the leader of the Asian country and is ridiculed as a tyrant, who committed human rights crimes against the people of North Korea.

Earlier today North Korea responded to U.N. sanctions against its nuclear missile testing, by threatening a  “preemptive nuclear attack.” According to news agency, KCNA there was talk of an “all out war,” as peace agreements with South Korea have been scrapped.

The announcement came just after  Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the UN, stated that America is  “fully capable of dealing with any North Korean missile threat.”

While the Obama Administration doesn’t seem to be fearful of an attack from, other countries, like China are begging for peace. “China calls on the relevant parties to be calm and exercise restraint and avoid taking any further action that would cause any further escalations,” said a spokesman for the foreign ministry.

Time will tell if Jong Un is serious with his plans, which we thought made for a good opportunity to get to know him a little better. Check out 10 things to know about him.

He Loves Basketball

Dennis Rodman isn’t the only ball player Jong Un likes. As an avid NBA fans he’s also into Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. The bad news is that Bryant has no plans of visiting North Korea, ever.

He’s Waiting By The Phone For President Obama

This is coming from Rodman’s mouth so we’re not sure if it can be believed, but Jong Un is waiting for a call from the president.

He’s Irritated By U.N. Sanctions

The U.N. continues to try and enforce sanctions on Jong Un, but he doesn’t really care. In his mind, North Korea can launch as many nuclear missile strikes as they want.

He’s Obsessed With His Family

Jong Un is said to have gotten plastic surgery to jack his grandfather, Kim Il Sung’s, face. Seems extreme, being that they’re already related.

He’s Kinda Shy

In his younger days, Jong Un was described as shy around women and in school.

Typical dictator.

He’s Quadrilingual

Jong Un speaks German, French and English, in addition to his native tongue.

He Made His Birthday A National Holiday

When you’re ruling a country, making your birthday a national holiday seems like overkill, but not in his world.

He’s Connected To Junior Mafia

No he’s not a member of the ’90s rap crew, but his nickname is “Lil Kim,” so that counts for something, right? He’s also answers to “Outstanding Leader.”

He’s A Trend Setter

Men in North Korea were clamoring to mimic this buzz cut/lazy hi-top concoction.

He Made His Army Do A Little Studying

In preparation for his transfer of power, soldiers were made to watch a documentary about Jong Un, which featured the line “General Kim Jong Un delivers a great blow to the enemy with the resourcefulness of his keen insight.”

Modesty.
