Hypebeasts, the moment is finally here. The Air Jordan III ’88 Retro, thirsted over for its inclusion of “Nike Air” branding on the heel since its announcement late last year, drops today at at exactly 4:51PM EST.
The specific time is exactly when Michael Jordan took off from the free throw line to throw down a thunderous dunk and win the NBA Slam Dunk contest. The “White Cement” colorway are the same ones Air Jordan was rocking and now is your chance to have a pair that come relatively close to the original.
The release is online only, so make sure your Wi-Fi or cable Internet is running smoothly when you head over to NikeStore, Eastbay, Foot Locker and Finish Line to try to get your hands on a pair. The kicker is that the “Nike Air” on the heel plate bumped up the price from $160 to $200 (and don’t forget shipping and handling).
But trust, despite the cost these joints will sell out in moments. So occupy your wi-fi and good luck.
