God Forgives, I Don’t: 10 Rappers Who Put Grown Man Hands On People Who Were Just Doing Their Job

No matter how much shat they talk on records about their knuckle game or hot temper, when a rapper puts them paws on somebody it’s always a WTF moment. That’s because rappers are unpredictable creatures. Blame it partially on their(alleged) past street lives, hectic schedules, loony work hours coke habits and the everyday ups and downs of the industry. That erratic behavior can mean, at times, running up on the wrong rhyme artist may possibly yield you an autograph or an eye jammy, depending on which way the wind is blowing.
Some people deserve the fades they receive at the hands of these MCs, like the burglar who tried to run up in LL Cool J’s crib. However, plenty of people don’t. That hasn’t stopped several rappers from mobbing on people for frankly no reason.
Here are 10 rappers who, for one purpose or another, laid the smack down on people who were simply doing what they do…

Fade Recipient: Allen Hughes (Movie Director)
What provoked the fade?:
In 1992, Tupac was slated to play the role of Sharif in the urban cult classic Menace II Society. But a few weeks into the filming Pac was fired by the director, Allen Hughes, for making trouble on the set. Typically when it’s your job to make a film people that are hindering that process have to get let go. Don’t tell that to “Mr. Hit Em Up.” In March 1993, Pac and few of his goons paid Al a visit and Shakur allegedly applied the bully foot in retaliation for his pink slip. The legendary rapper was later convicted of assault and battery.

Fade Recipient: Breyon Williams (Camera Guy)
What provoked the fade?:
Amateur camera man Breyon Williams was interviewing R&B singer Mario outside of a Hollywood nightclub in August 2011 when rapper Game approached and things took a turn for the worst. The “Pot of Gold” rapper attempted to intrusively get some camera time, when he was told by Williams, “[Mario] don’t want to help you.” To which Game responded, “Nicca, help me?,” and allegedly socked the interviewer causing his camera to go black. Williams filed a police report, but Game was never charged in the incident.

Fade Recipient: Jonathan Kirby (Burglar)
What provoked the fade?:
In August 2012, burglar Jonathan Kirby was carrying out his business of burgling when he happened to break into the home of LL Cool J. Todd quickly placed grown man hands on Kirby, put his face in the sand breaking his jaw and nose in the process. Uncle L then detained the rip off artist until authorities arrived. Kirby faces nearly 40 years in prison as a result of his botched robbery.

What provoked the fade?:
The Fresh Prince was walking the red carpet during the 2012 Moscow premier of Men in Black III when following an interview, an overzealous journalist asked him for a hug but tried to play kissy face instead. The stunned rapper took it back to West Philly and laid the hand of God to the journos’ face for pulling such a stunt. Then he walked off, big willy style.

Fade Recipient: (Nail Tech)
What provoked the fade?:
In 2004, Foxy went to a Manhattan nail shop to get a mani-pedi but for some reason only received a pedicure. She ended up being charged for both. But instead of talking out the misunderstanding, Foxy went all…Foxy, and began to attack two employees, hitting one in the face with her cell phone. She was eventually charged with two counts of third degree assault and received three years of probation.

Fade Recipient: (Concertgoer)
What provoked the fade?:
Akon was trying to give a heartfelt monolog during a 2007 concert in upstate New York when he was interrupted by a d#ckhead concertgoer doing what d#ckhead concert goers typically do, throwing stuff. After flinging a water bottle that grazed the performer, the 15-year-old culprit was called out and brought on stage where Kon swiftly lifted the teen over his head tossed him into the crowd on some Wrestlemania isht.

Fade Recipient: Anthony Montalbano (Stage Manager)
What provoked the fade?:
The A$AP Mob was performing at a 2011 Fort Fader Show in NYC when they reportedly became enraged with the inadequate sound equipment and started breaking microphones. When stage manager Anthony Montalbano went out there to, you know, manage the stage and stop the group from damaging his equipment, he was reportedly given an ASAP azz whooping by the Harlem crew. Montalbano reportedly had to receive 10 stitches in the head after the lumping, and filed a lawsuit against the entire mob, Sony Music and Fader Music Network, a short time later.

Fade Recipient: Tyrone Tucker (Club Promoter)
What provoked the fade?:
In 2005, Gucci Mane was getting his shows booked for him by an Atlanta promoter named Tyrone Tucker. According to reports, the promoter began booking shows without Gooch’s consent, and though Mane still performed at the shows, the rapper was never compensated. The fade was dispensed when Tucker visited Gucci’s label office to discuss the matter. A verbal argument led to a physical altercation and Gucci was later charged with striking the man with a pool stick.

Fade Recipient: Shayla Stevens (Hostess)
What provoked the fade?:
Da Brat was cooling at an Atlanta club on Halloween 2007, when she bumped into hostess Shayla Stevens. An argument ensued, and after the waitress starting walking away Da Brat allegedly struck her in the face with a bottle of Rum. The woman sustained deep lacerations on her face and head. The “Funkdafied” rapper eventually pled guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced to three years in prison and 200 hours of community service.

What provoked the fade?:
OFWGKTA was performing at the 2011 Voodoo Festival in New Orleans when things got a little rowdy. According to photog Amy Harris she was trying to take a few snapshots of the crew when member, Left Brain, went oops upside her head, knocking her lens cap off and leaving a red mark on her face, for no apparent reason. Harris would later press charges.
