10 Male Singers Who Can’t Sang!
It was just an average day at the HipHopWired office, as we sat around listening to The-Dream’s new 1977 album, when it dawned on us…you know, The-Dream can’t really sing.
Don’t get us wrong, Dream is one of the best songwriters in the business and his singing or lack thereof, has never stopped him from putting out quality music.
But lets be real Terius Nash wouldn’t stand a chance in an American Idol competition.
And Dream definitley isn’t the only singer out there that struggles vocally.
Last year, we called out all the female singers that couldn’t hit a high note if their lives depended on it, in a piece we called Studio Gangstas:10 Female Singers Who Can’t Sang! and now it’s the fellas turn.
Hit the numbered pages for our list of 10 Male Singers Who Can’t Sang!
Drake
There will also be a debate of whether Drake the rapper or R&B Drizzy the singer is the better talent. Drake’s singing is cool, but we prefer the rapper.
Akon
Akon’s getting that Gaga money, so he really shouldn’t care what we think.
T-Pain
Do you realize that one awesomely bad singer (Akon) put on an even worse awesomely bad rappa-ternt-singa (T-Pain)… that uses a vocoder on top of that?! SMH…
Jeremih
We’ve been too busy trying to say his name right to realize he sings out of tune.
Frank Ocean
Frank Ocean’s Nostalgia, Ultra is probably the greatest written work of this entire year. But in terms of vocal ability alone Frank Ocean wouldn’t stand out in a room full of singers.
Miguel
Miguel should thank his engineers for the work they do to his vocals in the studio. If only they could do the same thing at his live shows.
Cee-Lo Green
It’s hard to believe this is the same guy that used to rap with Goodie Mob.
Roscoe Dash
Roscoe isn’t a singer in the traditional sense, but rappers keep employing him to sing their hooks and we love/hate his voice.
Justin Bieber
We can give J.B. a pass since he hasn’t fully hit puberty and grown into his voice yet.
The-Dream
This whole piece is inspired by The-Dream’s vocal struggles. That 1997 is dope though. Even though Dream can’t sing…
