Our favorite rappers aren’t perfect. Once more, on their worst day they can out rap some people on their best day.
It doesn’t mean that they do not have their flaws. Sometimes the rappers are still spitting that heat, it still couldn’t save a really bad song. Let us preface this list by saying that you have to be an undeniably great talent to even land on this list. Even Michael Jordan thought he could play baseball for a bit, so look on the bright side.
They’ve delivered a lot more hits than misses. It’s time to let these misses shine. From Jay-Z and Eminem to Three Stacks and Lupe Fiasco, take a look at ten of the wackest songs by ten great rappers after the linkage.

Lupe Fiasco ft. Snoop Dogg and Pooh Bear – “Hi Definition”
Lupe Fiasco’s sophomore album was a little darker than his first and even closer to perfection. This one song was it’s fatal flaw. Sure it’s a catchy little ditty but we couldn’t get jiggy with this. We’re cool on this.
Nas ft. Ginuwine – “You Owe Me”

There are certain points in a rapper’s career when you can pinpoint exactly when they was wildin. This was it. Shiny suits? “Shorties owe you for ice?” Shackles on your feet?! C’mon dog, we were all for artist evolution but this made Illmatic seem like centuries ago. Also, anytime Nas talks about “not chasing pop, let pop chase us,” shine this glossy video all up in his face.
Ke$ha ft. Andre 3000 – “Sleazy (Remix)”
If I was Big Boi, I’d be pissed. If I were Twan I’d go up to Three Stacks and say, “you got time for Gillette commercials and remixes with f**king Ke$ha, but you can’t give me a verse for Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors? F**k Outkast!”
Okay, maybe it won’t be that dramatic, but you get the idea.
Eminem ft. Dr Dre, Jay Z, & 50 Cent – “Syllables”
When four of the biggest moguls in Hip-Hop history purposely make a song about how you don’t have to say anything in a song for it to be a hit, is it one of the greatest trolls in music history? Possibly, because this song sucked. A lot.
Young Jeezy – “Jizzle”
Thank the Lord that TM-103 was a good album. This album saw more false starts than a sprinter with Parkinsons (rim shot). The Lil Jon-assisted “Jizzle” was one of those records that was crumpled up and tossed into the garbage can never to be seen again.
J. Cole ft. Jay-Z – “Mr. Nice Watch”
J. Cole produced a mock version of The Throne’s “Who Gon’ Stop Me,” for his album Cole World: The Sideline Story. This song was supposed to be another great collaboration from the two that brought you “A Star Is Born.” Instead it was a faux-dubstep peace of mush that could have been left alone and almost further proof that Jay-Z and J.Cole may have never even met face to face. Go ahead, Google it. There are no pictures of Jay-Z and his first artist to Roc Nation taken together. Anywhere!
Eminem – “Just Lose It”
To be fair, Eminem was on a fair amount of drugs during this time. He must have been to think that this record was dope. Another cartoonish lead single, Marshall? Yes, another one. Another video making fun of celebrities of the moment? Of course. Not to mention he literally says “jibba jibba jibba jibba jibba I got no lines to write here.” Yeah, get rid of this.
Nas – “Who Killed It?”http://www.springboardplatform.com/js/overlay
NaS declared that Hip-Hop Is Dead on this album, and he made sure he was caught with the gun in hand. Yeah, we understand the voice changes were used to differentiate between the characters, it doesn’t mean that it made this song any more tolerable. All bad, Nasir.
Drake ft. Trey Songz – “Replacement Girl”http://www.springboardplatform.com/js/overlay
Talk about artist evolution. This was Drake’s first music video which was premiered on CTV after an episode of Degrassi: The Next Generation. No, seriously. It’s not so much of a wack song as more of it is a really, really cheesy song. Drake looks like he just came from the Bow Wow school of cadence, but even through all this, there was potential.
Thank Based God he found 40.
Jay-Z – “Ghetto Techno”http://www.springboardplatform.com/js/overlay
We’ll never let Jay-Z live this song down. Thankfully left off of The Blueprint III, this Timbaland-produced record had Jay-Z putting on a faux European accent to an electro-pop beat. Jay-Z never made a song so deliberately trying to get into the white boy club until this one. By far, one of the wackest Jay-Z songs ever made.
