Shyne is on a roll, but not in a good way. Since being released from prison, he’s (unintentionally) shunned the Hip-Hop world by spewing hate left and right, and picking up no new fans along the way.

Like it or not, Hip-Hop is very much like the cool click in school: secretly everybody wants to infiltrate the cipher, while pretending that they could care less…and Shyne wants some respect. The latest attention-grabbing statements from the struggling Belizean rapper are about West Coaster Kendrick Lamar’s Good kid m.A.A.d City debut, which he called “trash.”

To make matters worse, when Lamar’s TDE brethren, SchoolBoy Q, defended him, Shyne called him a “f-g.” Nispsey Hussle also chimed in, tweeting that Shyne’s “West Coast pass is  revoked.”

Of course the argument in support of Shyne’s claims (hear me out) is that he is entitled to his own opinion. On the flip side, given the music that he’s been putting out, one can’t help but wonder if he’s even qualified to give a critique on anything.

As well all know, Shyne spent years behind bars, only to come out and get deported back to his homeland. Chances are that that cold hard slice of reality turned him into a mad man. Like many in his position he sought solace in religion, changed his name to Moses Michael Levi, grew out his beard, and kept it moving.

At this point, no one should be surprised or offended by anything he says, but just for sh-ts and giggles, take a look at the one-sided beef he’s picked with anyone he can think of.

Shyne is just an angry dude.

Post-Prison Diddy Beef

After Shyne was released from prison in 2009, Diddy said they had a conversation. How did Shyne respond? By calling the claims a “figment of Sean Combs’ imagination.”

Ouch.

Label beef

In 2010, Shyne inked a deal with Def Jam, then he had a change of heart deciding that L.A. Reid was the worst executive in the game. Shyne accused Reid of not caring about Hip-Hop, and basically running the label’s reputation.

Shyne’s words weren’t totally untrue, but on the flip side, he could’ve had a little respect for the man who traveled to Belize just to sign him. “I am here because great people are worthy of traveling many many miles,” Reid said of Shyne.

Clearly, the feeling was not mutual.

Rick Ross Beef

With his name in too many people’s mouths, Shyne set his sights on Rick Ross.  Most recently, Shyne was upset with Ross’ The Black Bar Mitzvah mixtape cover. He accused the MMG front man of trying to make being a Black Jew trendy (a move with Shyne perfected first) so he blasted the Boss as being “obsessed” with him.

More Diddy Beef

Since old habits die young, Shyne continued his on-again-off-again beef with Diddy dropping the dis record “You’re Welcome,” in August. But nobody really cared.

Drizzy Beef

Hip-Hop’s love/hate relationship with Drake has taken several forms (**see Common’s “Canada Dry” line). Earlier in the month, he got caught in Shyne’s cross-hairs for no apparent reason:
“What does he [Drake] do? He’s an actor from Canada. So he just studied Lil Wayne, studied Kanye…he studied them and he just acts like a street kid?”

Drizzy didn’t deserve that tongue lashing. Also, a couple of years earlier, Shyne dreamed of singing to Drizzy’s Cash Money family.

Obama Beef

Assuming that we care about his political views (he can’t even vote!), Shyne proclaimed that President Obama was “corny,” and endorsed Mitt Romney.

*side note: Somebody should tell Shyne that Romney isn’t a fan of immigrants.
