North Korea wants to “wipe out” the United States once and for all. North Korea is getting bold and threatening to take the U.S. to war. According to the Associated Press, Korea is accusing the U.S. government of trying to “provoke a second Korean war.” North Korea warned the U.S. to back off Wednesday after a U.S Navy Destroyer tracked a North Korea ship suspected of delivering illegal weapons to Burma. North Korea made a threat saying that any interference with the delivery would be considered a declaration of war.

Not one to be chumped off, especially by little old North Korea, the United States interfered and it looks like it’s on now. So does this mean it’s war? Probably not, but the Koreans would like us to think so. The official Korean Central News Agency said, “If the U.S. imperialists start another war, the army and the people of Korea will…wipe out the aggressors on the globe once and for all.”

Yeah, right. The warning comes just days before the 59th anniversary of the Korean War. 59 years ago the fighting between North Korea and South Korea ended after three years. North Korea and South Korea reached a truce and NOT a peace treaty and U. S. troops are stationed in both countries to try and keep the peace.

The leader of North Korea, you know the one with the funny glasses, Kim Jong-ill has been boldly defiant in months leading up to this. The capital of North Korea, Pyongyang has continued to do nuclear testing despite being told to stop by the United Nations Security Counsel. Before Wednesday’s threat North Korea already promised to fire nuclear missiles toward Hawaii during “nuclear testing” by the end of July.

Is it just me or are they asking for it? President Obama commented on the nuclear threat from Korea Friday on CBS News saying, “This administration and our military are fully prepared for any contingencies”. He continued saying, “I don’t want to speculate on hypotheticals but I want to give assurances to the American people that the T’s are crossed and the I’s are dotted in terms of what might happen.”

The president’s basically saying this, let’s chill for now and see what Korea does next but if they want it, they can get it. Hopefully this situation will settle down and blow over, no pun intended, for the sake of North Korea.
