Today is Beyoncé Knowles’ 31st birthday. The current reigning queen of pop will always hold a place near and dear to the hearts of Hip-Hop heads ever since she trotted out to “No, No, No’ with Destiny’s Child and Wyclef Jean. Ever since then, the superstar icon has shot to immeasurable success and has become one of the most recognizable pop culture icons of all time. It also doesn’t hurt that she’s married (with child) to the greatest rapper of all time.
It just seems that no matter how big she becomes, the Hip-Hop nation will always have her back because she has always had it’s back. Travel through the years of some of Beyoncé’s illest Hip-Hop collaborations with Hip-Hop Wired and happy 31st birthday, Mrs. Knowles-Carter.

Jay-Z ft. Beyonce – “Hollywood,” Kingdom Come
While Kingdom Come wasn’t some of Jay-Z’s best work, it always still seems to trump a lot of today’s artist’s best work. “Hollywood” featuring Beyonce fits right in the mold of a song that might have been better served on a Beyonce album.
Beyonce ft. Andre 3000 – “Party,” 4
Since taking somewhat of a musical hiatus, Andre 3000 really only drops verses for special artists. Beyonce is obviously one of those special artists.
Destiny’s Child ft. Wyclef Jean – “No, No, No” Pt. 2, Destiny’s Child
The first time a lot of people got a look and listen at Beyonce was this collaboration with Wyclef Jean. As the lead member of Destiny’s Child, King B got off to a smooth start with this remix.
Beyonce ft. Bun B and Slim Thug – “Check On It,” B’Day
Beyonce’s a Texas girl at heart, so it made all the sense in the world to snatch up two of the Lone Star State’s best in Slim Thug and Bun B for this Austin Powers soundtrack song.
Jay-Z & Kanye West ft. Beyonce – “Lift Off,” Watch The Throne
Before the immaculate “No Church In The Wild” was crafted, this was initially supposed to be the introduction to Jay-Z and Kanye’s Watch The Throne. This still isn’t a bad track with some incredible production courtesy of Mike Dean and Jeff Bhasker.
Beyonce ft. Kanye West – “Ego (Remix),” I Am…SASHA FIERCE
If you are going to make a song called “Ego,” and you aren’t going to have Kanye West have something to do with it, you are losing. One thing Beyonce doesn’t do is lose. Case in point.
Destiny’s Child ft. T.I. and Lil Wayne – “Soldier”
Perhaps Destiny’s Child most gutter record, the group which had dwindled down to a trio scooped up the King of The South in T.I. and Lil Wayne right when he was on the cusp of superstardom.
Beyonce ft. Jay-Z – “Upgrade U”
Did Beyonce body Jay-Z on this? Sike, just kidding. Nevertheless, this is a hell of a record which brought Beyonce into Jigga’s world more than ever before. Don’t lie, you had to Google a lot of the things these two uber rich icons were talking about, didn’t you?
Jay-Z ft. Beyonce – “03 Bonnie & Clyde,” The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse
The declaration of their union was made with this song. It was always whispered about within circles but the lead single off of The Blueprint 2: The Gift And The Curse, made it apparent that Jay-Z and Beyonce were on.
Beyonce ft. Jay-Z – “Deja Vu,” B’Day
“Crazy In Love” worked so good for Beyonce the first time, she tried the same formula for her sophomore album, B’Day. Stellar and underrated production on this record.
Beyonce ft. Ghostface Killah – “Summertime (Remix),” Unreleased
Who can forget this memorable performance from Jay-Z’s Fade To Black? As Beyonce was still getting her solo star legs under her, this record was a staple in New York City in the Summertime.
Beyonce ft. Jay-Z – “Crazy In Love,” Dangerously In Love
Were you expecting something else? “Crazy In Love” is the magnum opus of not only Beyonce/Jay-Z collaborations, but one of the greatest R&B/Rap collabs of all time, OF ALL TIME!
