Beefin’ on Twitter is nothing new, but when it involves a woman, things can get pretty embarrassing. Over the weekend, Drake, Chris Brown, and Meek Mill became the latest group of love-struck youngins’ to take their fight over Rihanna to a public forum.
In commemoration of their Twitter feud, which between all four of them (including Rih Rih) reached well over 20 million people, we opened up the vault to uncover a bunch of other rappers who famously feuded over chicks—and dangerously toed close to “simp” status in the process.

Nas vs. Jay-Z (over Carmen Bryan)
The epic battle between Jay-Z and Nas’ baby’s mother, Carmen Bryan, will go down as one of the funniest disputes in Hip-Hop history. Jay bragged about taking down Nas’ bm, and she further inserted the dagger in his Queensbridge heart by boasting over Hov’s manhood. How rude.
Rick Ross vs. 50 Cent (over Tia Kemp)
50 Cent made his beef with Rick Ross personal when he brought the Miami rapper’s ex-girlfriend, Tia Kemp, into the mix. 50 constantly mocked “Officer Ricky” first fattening Kemp’s pockets, and helped her release the book Tia’s Diary: Deeper Than Rap.
The-Dream vs. Lil Wayne (over Nivea & Christina Milian)
Allegedly, The-Dream and Weezy were going back and forth with “I Love Your Girl” and “Lollipop,” respectively, over Nivea. The crooner has three children with Nivea while Wayne has one with the singer. Keeping up? And during NBA All-Star Weekend, the YMCMB rapper announced that Christina Milian (aka The-Dream’s ex-wife) is now signed to Young Money.
Suge Knight vs. Dr. Dre (over Michel’le)
Singer Michel’le is notorious for her famous baby fathers: Suge Knight and Michel’le. The two have never been fond of one another, but sharing the same woman couldn’t have helped the situation. Knight consistently questions Dre’s s-xuality, and though both were once millionaires, The Good Dr. beats the former Death Row head by a long shot when it comes to money in the bank. As for Michel’le, she fell on hard times and went on welfare. Tough break.
Common vs. Drake (over Serena Williams)
Note to Drake: if you mention Serena Williams, Common will come after you. Drizzy and Common’s shortlived feud stemmed from the Toronto rapper’s mention of his “love” and “care” for the curvy tennis star, allegedly. Common took a shot at Drake via the track “So Sweet,” off his The Dreamer, The Believer album, and a war of words ensued. In the end, the beef was squashed at the Grammy’s, and Serena Williams too a dip in the rap music pool—with disasterous results.
Tupac vs. Biggie (over Faith Evans)
When Tupac heard Biggie’s “Who Shot Ya?” he unleashed a vicious rebuttal by way of the 1996 track “Hit ‘Em Up.” Although both rappers offered note-worthy responses, Pac’s classic proclamation: “That’s why I f**ked your b**ch you fat motherf**ker,”was nothing short of jaw-dropping. The West Coast MC was never one to mince words, and while Biggie seemed less confrontational (even joking about “two Pacs” on Jay-Z’s “Brooklyn’s Finest”) losing both rappers taught Hip-Hop that beef should never cost someone their life.
Joe Budden vs. Fabolous (over Somaya Reece)
Joe Budden can be pretty sensitive at times, and when it comes to the details of his former conquests, the results are usually disastrous. In 2009 Budden got into a Twitter fight, that spilled over onto his diss track spit over Rihanna’s “Russian Roulette.” In short, Budden dropped his main jump-off (Tahiry Jose) and made a joke about Fab feasting on her lady parts. Fab retored with a slanderous hashtag attack on Budden’s new girl at the time, Somaya Reece. Unfortunately the feud didn’t help anyone sell anymore records, so what was the point?
