There is no doubt that the crime plaguing Chicago is quickly bringing the city to its proverbial knees.
In an astonishing display of savagery, Annazette Collins was robbed at gunpoint while walking to a relatives house with her sister.
The incident, which occurred near 61st and Woodlawn, shows that no one is safe in what is becoming the worst and most visible crime spree since the beginning of the last century.
Neither woman was hurt, but the masked man did get away with her purse, which was discovered later sans the items that once inhabited it.
Currently no suspect has been named or arrest made.
Collins is an Illinois State Representative for the state’s 10th District.
