Before Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks stepped on the court to give the Washington Wizards a 103-65 drumming Friday night, the star forward extended an invitation to the family of Trayvon Martin, who was tragically shot and killed by “Neighborhood volunteer” George Zimmerman. Trayvon’s family was in New York for an interview with CNN to speak on the tragic loss of the young man, but were treated to a private meeting with Carmelo and the rest of the Knicks players before Friday night’s game.
On hand was Trayvon Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, older brother Jahvaris Fulton, and a younger sibling, who got to meet & greet the players, pose for pictures and hopefully smile during this family’s trying times.
