Dr. Umar x The Breakfast Club

It’s been a hot minute since Dr. Umar Johnson swung by your favorite early morning Hip-Hop show. Last week the Pan-African Avenger graced Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy with his presence and gave The Breakfast Club listeners all the knowledge they could handle.

From explaining why the school he’s been working on hasn’t opened its doors yet, to the story behind that now famous picture of him chopping it up with a white girl, Dr. Umar Johnson gets into all the details about his personal life, his opinions on politics and the death of Johnny Cochrane (seriously).

Here are the eight things we learned, although were plenty more, from Dr. Umar Johnson on The Breakfast Club.

He’s Opening A School In Delaware

Speaking about the school he wants to open up in Delaware, Dr. Umar Johnson says they originally wanted $2 million for the building but after a few years of negotiation they finally sold it to him for the $500K he originally offered. Unfortunately, for the past three years he’s been having a hard time finding honest contractors to fix up the building and that’s why his long-promised school has yet to open its doors to the public.

“Contractors were not kind to us. They ripped us off. They scammed us. They stole out the building… The ‘con’ in contractor is real.” It wasn’t until he decided to go with white contractors that they got the school to “the finish line.”

Classes His School Will Offer

When asked what kind of classes his school will offer, Dr. Umar says aside from the traditional math, science and social studies, his school will also have classes dealing with finance, real estate, international investment and even how to grow your own food. Those are the kinds of gems that can really be life-changing for young and impressionable minds. Props.

Barack Obama’s Presidency

Speaking on Barack Obama’s election to the presidency, Dr. Umar says that he believes Obama was allowed to win to “force alternative sexual lifestyles on Black children” and “sexual confusion as a means of population control” and to set up American military bases in Africa.

Qualifications To Be Accepted Into His School

Touching on the qualifications needed to be accepted into his school, Dr. Umar says that you have to be “psychologically Black and biologically Black.”

His Thoughts On Johnnie Cochran’s Death

Dr. Umar believes that famous OJ Simpson lawyer Johnnie Cochran was poisoned because he was on the verge of finding out how much money the United States owed the Black community in reparations. Can’t say we’ve heard that one before.

He Was Buying Crystals, Not Flirting With A White Woman

Taking it back to that picture of himself supposedly flirting with a white woman, Dr. Umar says it happened after he went to the mall to get his iPhone to get repaired. Walking out the mall he stumbled on a stand that sold crystals, oils and incense and though he thought it would be a Black-owned stand, it was actually a white woman selling the stuff he was in to.

After a few people asked him to take a picture she realized he was someone and after explaining who he was and showing her his Breakfast Club interview on YouTube, Dr. Umar says some “coons” were recording the entire ordeal and made it seem like he was trying to pick her up.

He Doesn’t Hate White People, He’s Against White Supremacy

While many might feel Dr. Umar “hates” white people, he says he’s cool with all races but is against white supremacy (we all should be). Just because he’s pro-Black doesn’t mean he’s anti-white. Good luck explaining the science behind that to them MAGA folk, bro.

Kim Kardashian Used Kanye West

When asked about Kanye West, Dr. Umar says that he thinks Kim Kardashian used him and they’re trying to break him. That being said even though he doesn’t agree with the way Kanye articulates his thoughts, he does praise him for “speaking truth to power to specifically identify certain communities of Europeans who have exploited gangsta rap, Black entertainers and other people since its inception and nobody has called them out.” He also believes Kyrie Irving got a raw deal as no one is up in arms about Amazon not taking down the video that got Kyrie Irving in hot water with the Jewish community.
