Weezy F. Baby is expected to make an appearance in a federal court room today for a DNA test. The DNA is not to test the paternity of one of his children however; instead it’s in connection with the gun charges he received in New York.  A DNA profiling technique will take place today in Manhattan as part of his trial for his 2007 arrest for felony gun-possession.

The profiling technique is used to identify people in criminal cases from miniscule amounts of DNA. According to prosecutors, the DNA collected will indefinitely tie Wayne to a gun found on his tour bus after a scheduled concert.  Wayne has pleaded not guilty to the charge. If convicted, he could face 3 ½ years in jail.

Wayne is also facing charges across the country in Arizona. He was arrested for possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia after police boarded his tour bus in 2008. As previously reported, his official court date for the charges is set for March 10, 2010.
